Stolen Driving License

Replace Lost Or Stolen Driving License

You might be eligible to Replace Lost Or Stolen Driving License if your driver’s license, identification card, or instruction permit (also known as credentials) was lost, stolen, or destroyed.

If you don’t receive your credential in the mail and visit a state driver’s license office between 30 and 90 days following the lost credential’s issue date, you might be entitled to a duplicate at no cost.

Please use the “Where is my driver’s license/ ID?” service on myDMV.Colorado.gov to find out the status of your card.

Because a duplicate credential is a copy of your license, it will share your previous credential’s expiration date, class, and endorsements.

You must go to a driving licensing office to obtain a duplicate of your lost, stolen, or damaged identification document. Online appointment booking is available at myDMV.Colorado.gov. You should choose Renew Colorado License/Identification card as your appointment type when scheduling your visit.
